Julius was raised in a middle-class house that had a long history of service in the Imperial Marines. When he was just a boy, his uncle, Lucius Law, took interest in him and took him under his wing. Lucius was a Lanista and owned a prominent gladiator school. Since he was a boy, Julius spent time among the gladiatorial slaves and learned from them on a daily basis. Soon, he was being trained intensely in mixed martial arts, hand to hand combat, and weapons. He showed incredible aptitude, and when he was entering his teenage years, his uncle started to train him to succeed him in the business. At the age of 16, Julius started to train his uncles gladiators personally and coached several of them to famous victories.
When he was 20 years old, Julius was offered a position as a combat instructor at the Imperial Academy. Wanting to serve the Empire, he accepted, enlisted, and spent his time split between the academy and his gladiators. During his time at the academy, he trained 15 classes of Starfleet Security personnel. In 2371, Julius decided that he wished to be discharged from the Fleet and to return to the Gladiator School full time and prepare to take over for his uncle. He was encouraged to get some field experience, so he accepted a position aboard the ISS Vengeance shortly before she was lost in the Delta Quadrant with all hands. |
